Globe TALKers: English Mastery for Career and Travel Success

Learning a new language is hard – I know because I've been there.

While living in China and Mexico, I faced the challenge of learning Mandarin and Spanish. It was hard at first, especially speaking Mandarin.

But I didn't give up.

I took intensive Mandarin classes for a month, studying four days a week and doing lots of practice outside of class.

This hard work paid off, and my speaking skills improved dramatically. I could finally talk confidently with locals and use Mandarin in my English classes.

As soon as you join Globe TALKers, the journey to unlocking your English potential begins. You'll receive a welcome email with the link to book your classes and all the information you need about the program.

We'll meet live on Zoom every week for at least one hour and I'll coach you on that week's topic. Every session will be recorded and saved in your Google Drive folder along with the lesson slides and any other materials so you can keep them forever. You can also ask questions and get direct help from me during office hours.

The final step is scheduling your classes. My teaching hours are from Monday to Thursday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm New York time, and you’ll be able to choose the best days and times within this window to fit your schedule.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
To participate in Globe TALKers, you'll need a computer with internet access, a webcam for the live classes, and a microphone. A good internet connection is important for the best learning experience.
WHAT LEVEL OF ENGLISH PROFICIENCY DO I NEED TO JOIN THE COURSE?
Globe TALKers is designed for students of any level EXCEPT complete beginners.
HOW ARE THE LIVE CLASSES CONDUCTED?
The live classes are conducted through Zoom once per week for one hour, so you'll need a Zoom account (it's free). You'll be able to interact in real time, ask questions, and practice speaking with direct feedback from me.
HOW MANY STUDENTS ARE IN EACH CLASS?
All classes are private, one-on-one classes, with me. This allows me to focus on your specific needs and progress.
IS THERE ANY HOMEWORK OR ADDITIONAL PRACTICE?
Yes, to maximize your learning, there will be homework assignments and practice exercises. These are designed to reinforce what you've learned in class and give you extra practice with the new grammar and vocabulary.
CAN I RESCHEDULE A CLASS IF I MISS IT?
One rescheduled class is allowed. However, I do not allow cancellations within 24 hours. This helps me plan my schedule and lessons well, so I can be the best teacher for you! However, I know life can be full of surprises, and I want to be considerate of your commitments. Sometimes unexpected things happen. I'm happy to make an exception one time if you need to cancel within the 24-hour window. But you must reschedule it in the same week. Please let me know as soon as you can, so I can adjust your schedule. After the one exception, any cancellations or rescheduling within 24 hours will follow the regular policy, and the lesson will be counted as completed. Your time is valuable, and I truly appreciate your commitment to improving your English.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE 10-WEEK COURSE?
After completing the 10-week course, you'll have a solid foundation in English. If you wish to continue improving and expanding your skills, you're welcome to enroll in additional courses. Many students find that continuing their studies helps them to further enhance their fluency and confidence. You can enroll for as many rounds as you feel necessary to meet your language goals.
